It is a traditional product derived exclusively from the 25,000 fig trees of local species of Kymi region on the island of Euboea.

The peculiarity of the Kymi figs, which makes them unique is that, before placing them in the sun and the Aegean breeze to dry, will be opened in the middle and after the drying process is completed, the two parts are joined together and the result is the "Ασκάντα".

The Kymi figs have a very thin skin, are particularly soursweet and have a special golden color in comparison to the dark one which are very sweet.
